    Bulgarian consulate started its work in Yekaterinburg

    The governor of Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev has met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria in Russia who has arrived to Yekaterinburg on the occasion of resumption of work of the consulate in Ural region.

    During the conversation with the diplomat the leader of the region has positively marked out the actions of the Bulgarian side in the development of cooperation with Sverdlovsk region and has invited the Bulgarian enterprises to get acquainted with the industrial capacity of the region within the VII INNOPROM International industrial exhibition.

    In his response word Ambassador have thanked the governor for a possibility of a meeting, and also I have hoped that opening in Yekaterinburg a diplomatic mission of his country after a five-year break of will allow to bring cooperation between Sverdlovsk region and Bulgaria to a new level. In particular, Mr. Kotsev has expressed an interest of the Bulgarian side in development of cooperation communications with the Russian partners in such directions as mechanical engineering and machine-tool construction, production of chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic production.

    We will note that commodity turnover between Sverdlovsk region and the Republic of Bulgaria has exceeded 17 million US dollars in 2015, having increased almost twice in comparison with 2014 .  Growth of commodity turnover has happened due to the development of partnership in the sphere of metallurgy, and also an increase in the number of deliveries of hi-tech production of transport mechanical engineering.
